Sunday French Valley Fly In---26 June 2005

Well after an arrival sequencing show that will grow over time to resemble theBattle of Britian, quite a few Grizzly alums managed to fly and drive to French Valley yesterday. There's a lot to be said for a published arrival procedure for uncontrolled airfields, especially when you don't recognize the voice of the others in the "pattern"...

Welcome first shows:

Jim and Betty Porter

The Baron

Cindy Ball

After Brunch we toured Pat's museum and F-4 rebuilding facility. Impressive to say the least and hopefully in 2 years an F-4 will be back in the So Cal airspace again.....

It was a great day, perfect weather and fun was had by all. As I was leaving to the south there was two formations of aircraft one with about 15 aircraft and another with a dozen heading for San Diego, don't know what they were doing but looked impressive.

Hope to see you there.
